For medical doctors and dentists holding degrees from non-EU countries, graduates of foreign medical universities (Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Georgia, Romania, etc.), including expatriates and Greek citizens wishing to practice in Greece, passing the written DOATAP examinations is a mandatory step for degree recognition.
The written DOATAP examinations are conducted exclusively in the Greek language in a multiple-choice question (MCQ) format. The exam enforces a negative marking system (-0.20 points per incorrect answer). Mastering Greek medical terminology is a critical factor for success.
